GRE

Graduate Records Examinations (GRE)

A GRE score is typically the single component that all graduate school applicants have in common. It is considered to be a relatively accurate predictor of how you will perform in graduate schools, and is a critical benchmark used to distinguish individuals from their fellow applicants. In fact, at many schools, the GRE is the primary factor that determines not only your acceptance, but also what merit-based grants, fellowships, assistantships, and financial aid you may be eligible to receive. Serious preparation is about more than just a GRE score: it is an investment in your future.

GRE General Test

The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) General Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are not related to any specific field of study.
